does the electricity have to be stored in batteries
right. BX cannot be used in outdoor situations like this. but, PVC conduit, TEK, SJOOW or other rubber-coated wire can be used.
In North America, South is the premium direction- us being north of the equator.
dont you reckon it is not allowed to use bx wire on the roof top, because during the rain , water will seep inside the aluminium cable and the life of wire inside becasue of heat and rain and aluminium corrosion activity there might be small circuit.
It is better to use metal condute for this purpose., I
I reckon NEC national electric code wont allow this type of connections.
